5th Grade Weekly Homework
The following homework is ongoing throughout the year. Homework in math, spelling, and grammar, is given to the students every night, Monday through Thursday, unless otherwise directed by the teacher. Homework is due the next day and students do receive an effort grade for doing their homework and turning it in on time. The weekly reading homework is typically issued on Friday and due the following Friday. Students should be writing their homework down in their assignment book each day and should refer to it each night to make sure they are on track.

Read for 20 minutes
Tuesday
Spelling: Practice B
Grammar Part B
Math
Read for 20 minutes
Wednesday
Spelling: Write 12 sentences
Grammar Part C
Math
Read for 20 minutes
Thursday
Spelling: Write each word 3 times each and then take a practice quiz
Grammar Part D
Math
Read for 20 minutes
Friday
**The spelling and grammar tests are given in class every Friday (or the last day of the week).
Weekly Reading HW issued and due on the following Friday
Read for 20 minutes
Get Friday folder and reading calendar signed
