Reading Specialists serve as language arts resource persons who support specific instructional programs in order to help the literacy needs of all elementary school students.  Extra assistance is provided for those students who need additional help in language arts.  The Reading Specialists assist with school wide literacy activities such as:

            Family Literacy Nights

            Reading Incentives

            Special Reading Days

In addition, Reading Specialists communicate information about the curriculum, provide on-going staff development, and offer support to individual teachers.
