Impact of Cigarette Smoke on Plants
A Study by the Students at Stevens Forest Elementary School
Please enjoy these photos of our students conducting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) research
SCIENCE - These photographs show the students conducting their scientific investigations.
Much of this work followed development of the technology and engineering needed for that research.
TECHNOLOGY - These photographs show some of the technology
that the students are developing.
Some is ready for use in science, some will require engineering to put it in a useable form.
ENGINEERING - These photographs show the engineering that the students are doing for their science investigations.
Some of it is based on their technology, some based on well known principles.
MATHEMATICS - These photographs show some of mathematical
work that the students have been doing in their science,
technology and engineering activities. Math is useful everywhere.
HEALTH - These photographs show students learning about the health effects of cigarettes on people.
They often take a break from the plant/cigarette study to pursue these kinds of questions.
FROM KIDS - These are questions (in a slightly abridged form) that the students asked about
cigarettes and smoking. They form the basis of some of the research that they will conduct.

New Draft number means a significant
upgrade; new date indicates a less significant changes. For what's new, go to the General Information menu, Recent Updates item.
This is the percent of the research
already accomplished that has been documented. The students conduct their research faster than it can be added to this Website.
