Principal’s Update

Dear Parents,

All is well on the Hill. Our Sports, Clubs and Fine Arts programs are in full gear. I hope to see you out supporting our students at the many events taking place over the next several weeks. I am sending a separate email with the Homecoming Schedule even though it is several weeks away. This will allow you to mark your calendar with all of the special activities taking place during the week. I will be having my first Principal’s Coffee a week from Thursday on Sept. 27th at 8:00 a.m. in the student dining center. Please join me to hear about all of the happenings around the school – I also bake some doughnuts and put on a pot of coffee/tea.

• Congratulations to Earl and Brandon Lauer! They have been selected into the MPSSAA Wrestling Hall of Fame and will be inducted at the University of Maryland's Cole Field House.

• Congrats to Mr. Fischer and our Marching Band!

The band competed in the U. S. Scholastic Band Association Competition this weekend at Westminster High School.
Ø Placed 1st in their division with a score of 73
Ø Won awards for Best Music, Best Visual, Best Effect and Best Percussion
Ø The high scorer of the 22 bands in the show
