Elijah Cummings Youth Program
The Elijah Cummings Youth Program in Israel seeks help in identifying future leaders. The Elijah Cummings Youth Program in Israel (ECYP) is a unique and dynamic two-year youth leadership program that teaches leadership skills, college preparation, diversity, community service and offers an all-expense paid trip to travel abroad.

Every year, Congressman Elijah Cummings in collaboration with the Baltimore Jewish Council, selects 12-15 high school sophomores who either reside in or attend school in the 7th Congressional District to participate in the Elijah Cummings Youth Program in Israel.

Celebrating 10 years of service, the ECYP continues to support community-based initiatives locally and around the world, providing youth with access to resources, skills, and experiences to help succeed in their careers, contribute to their communities, and lead outstanding lives.

· Gifted and Talented Research Program
What do the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Sinai Hospital, Redhead Advertising Agency and Folly Quarter Middle School all have in common? They are all Gifted and Talented internship sites!

Is your child independent? Does your child have a passion for a subject that is not offered in school? Tuesday, January 8th at 7:30 pm in the RHHS Information Center several of our current students and the Gifted and Talented staff will be presenting an information concerning the school based Independent Research Program and the site based Intern/Mentor program.

Students in these programs determine their own topic, research the field and then create a product for the greater good. Our RHHS Gifted and Talented research students have been nationally published, presented at national conferences and produced major works in the threatrical, musical and visual areas of art.

Next Tuesday, bring your child and come hear what the Gifted and Talented Research programs at River Hill High School have to offer your child Tuesday, January 8th at 7:30 pm in the RHHS Information Center! For further information contact Mary Jane Sasser (mary_sasser@hcpss.org )
