Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that May is on our doorstep. The year has
flown past!!! Our second letter to our graduating seniors and their
parents will be in the mail soon. Seniors will have a busy few weeks
before they walk across the stage. Please call Guidance if you have
questions or concerns.
As the weather changes, it seems to influence our students decision
making. Please remind them to think before they act. Each year we
hear about students involved in incidents in the community, car
accidents and skipping school all caused by poor decision making. Each
of these types of decisions can have negative consequences. Let's
work together to make our end-of-the-year a success.
Recently we received news that one of our students, Chris Franklin,
was diagnosed with leukemia. Chris is currently at Children's
Hospital in Washington D.C. receiving treatment. Our thoughts and
prayers go out to Chris and his family. If your student is
struggling with Chris's illness, please do not hesitate to contact our
guidance office.
One of our wonderful parents, Lisa Campanaro along with Spirit
Central is organizing a gift basket for Chris. There are currently
bins in the front office for anyone who wants to add items to the gift
basket for Chris...snacks of any kind, magazines, crosswords, card
games, pictures, posters, RH decorations, notes, cards (he just can't
have flowers). Volunteers will take care of getting the baskets down
to him. If you would like more information in how you can help, Lisa
can be reached at chelflisac@hotmail.com.
The following information is being provided to help keep you
informed. Have a great week.
