River Hill High School's Science Olympiad Tea m
Congratulations to our River Hill High School's Science Olympiad Team!
We placed SECOND at the State competition this past Saturday. Our
fifteen member team won 8 First place medals, 5 Second place medals,
and 7 Third place medals. The team competed against other Maryland
schools in 23 events in Science, Math and Engineering.

This was Maryland's first State Olympiad tournament. The Science
Olympiad is a National organization that provides invitational,
regional, state, and national tournaments.

The purpose of a Science Olympiad team is to motivate students to
expand their knowledge and competence in science and technology and
increase their insight into the investigative process by enabling them
to "do" science through hands-on and inquiry-based exploration.
