People who have integrity are honest and fair in everything they do and say.  This document describes just a few of the most important aspects of integrity that are expected of you at school.

HONOR PLEDGE

“On my honor, I have neither given nor received unauthorized aid on this assignment.” 

HONOR COUNCIL

Thirteen student members serve on the RHHS Honor Council, dedicated to promoting and upholding integrity among the student body.  The HC is responsible for three main objectives:

1)      Provide guidance and assign consequences to students who have violated RH Academic Integrity Policy

2)      Develop educational tools that will foster academic integrity

3)      Strategically develop and implement RHHS academic integrity standards

The Honor Council is a student-to-student organization, created to improve the academic integrity environment through a grassroots effort.  Those who commit a Level I violation may appear before the student HC. 

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY

Level 1 Violations 

1.       Copying, or allowing another student to copy, assignments or ideas

2.       Lack of internal citations, or omitting citations, within a given assignment  (Including a bibliography is not adequate)

3.       Using another person’s ideas without   offering proper citation

Level II Violations  

1.       Cheating on exams or quizzes

2.       Buying or copying an essay assignment and submitting it as one’s own

3.       Using an assignment from a student who previously took the class, or using an assignment you completed for another class

4.       Any intentional violations not listed
