Mrs. Fila has worked for the Howard County Public School System since 1976. She has taught all elementary school grade levels as well as in the GT and CR programs. Mrs. Fila served as an Assistant Principal for 10 years before becoming Principal of PRES in February 2001. Mrs. Fila finds her work with the PRES community to be both challenging and rewarding.
Mr. West has been with the Howard County Public School System since 1992. He began as a teacher at both Jeffers Hill Elementary and Running Brook Elementary before serving as Assistant Principal at Manor Woods Elementary and Wilde Lake Middle. Mr. West joined the PRES family in 2004. Mr. West enjoys working with the students, staff and parents at PRES and is committed to being an advocate for all children.
Meet Mr. West
This is currently Amy’s nineteenth year working for the Howard County Public School System. She began her teaching career at Stevens Forest Elementary and continued at Bushy Park Elementary. She was promoted to Assistant Principal and transferred to Clarksville Elementary School, where she was for three years. She joined PRES in 2006 is happy to be here getting to know this wonderful student body and their families. When not in school, she enjoys spending time with her family. She and her family, Caitlin age 13, Nicholas age 11 and her husband, Gary, enjoy taking hikes and long bike rides together.
