Each student should have a clean-out swab appropriate to their instrument to be kept in the case and used after playing the instrument.

Brass: Each student should have valve or rotor oil appropriate for his or her instrument. Trombone players should have slide cream and a misting bottle with them to keep their slides moving smoothly.

Percussion: Each student should have a pair of drumsticks, bell kit, and practice pad or snare drum. Tympani sticks and auxiliary percussion mallets and beaters will be provided.
