There are several Howard County and All-State groups that are available for students who are interested and capable. The HCPSS sponsors the G/T Band and Orchestra. These groups are open, by competitive audition, to all 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade students who are full members of their respective school performing groups.

The All-State Junior Band, Choir, and Orchestra are sponsored by MMEA. Participation in these groups is open, also by competitive audition, only to 7^th and 8^th grade students who are full members of their respective school performing groups.

Audition information will be made available to all interested students upon receiving it near the beginning of the school year. It is the responsibility of the student to see that all audition requirements and form deadlines are met. Students (and their parents) may check on classroom bulletin boards or directly with their child’s school director for more information. Known concert dates for these groups are listed on the previous calendar.
