ACT MOCK TEST
Dear Parents or Guardians of College Bound Students;
In an attempt to give our students some exposure to both national college admission examinations an ACT mock test will be administered. The ACT mock test is designed to give the students who plan on taking the May or June official ACT some exposure to the test. It also will give the students who have no knowledge of the ACT a glimpse of what the test has to offer. The test is scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. at Wilde Lake High School. The fee for the mock test will be $10 (cash). Please return registration form and pay the testing fee to Mr. Rose in room 238 by Wednesday, February 15, 2011. Students who are registering outside of Wilde Lake should email me the registration form below to reserve a spot and report by 7:30 am the day of the test to pay the fee. There will be no refunds for those students who miss the test. The test is open to the first 100 students who register.
Wilde Lake High School in conjunction with Studyworks (SAT/ACT PREP source) has established the ACT mock test in an effort to prepare students for the ACT. The ACT is a national college admission examination that consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. The ACT Plus Writing includes the four subject area tests and a 30-minute Writing Test. ACT results are accepted by virtually all U.S. Colleges and Universities. According to ACT, Inc the ACT is required by more four-year colleges then any other admission examination.
The ACT mock test will allow students the opportunity to see their strengths and weaknesses. Each student will receive a written break down of their score for each section. We recommend that students who are interested in taking the ACT or who would like to see the difference in test questions participate in the ACT mock test. Each student will be provided a score sheet and a written analysis on a date to be determined. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact me (Mr. Eugene Rose) by email: erose@hcpss.org.
On the day of the test, students who are pre-registered should report to Main Street (Front lobby Wilde Lake High) by 7:45a.m.; students who are not registered should report by 7:30 a.m. All students should bring two #2 pencils, a calculator, and a snack. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Rose by email: erose@hcpss.org.
Scores will be available the week of April 16th for pick up or I will interoffice them to your home school for delivery.
Thank You
Eugene Rose
