Step 1) |
The accommodations in question are for students with documented disabilities. If you have
a disability but have not yet documented it with The College Board, or have
not yet received a Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) approval
notice, please contact the AP
Coordinator or Guidance Office immediately!

| Step 2) |
Ask your teacher if you have questions regarding the exam selection, i.e., English Language versus English Literature, Calculus AB versus Calculus BC, etc. If you are interested in two exams that are scheduled for the same time slot, you can take one of them during a session that is scheduled in the week following the second AP week. Late fees would not apply. There are additional circumstances under which Late Testing (with an alternate form of the exam) can be arranged. Some of these circumstances require additional fees. If you need to schedule an exam during the Late Testing interval, contact the AP coordinator as soon as possible. You can not take both Calculus exams in the same year.

| Step 3) | Most exams
will be administered at a site away from the school premises. As
the exams approach, you will be notified of the exam locations and
other relevant details. Regardless of location, parents must give
permission for students to be away from their regularly scheduled
classes to participate in AP Testing, and to leave the school premises,
if necessary. Parents and students must also acknowledge that they are
responsible for transportation to and from the exam sites.

| Step 4) |
AP allows fee reductions for students with acute financial need. Additionally, there is a Maryland State Department of Education grant that provides assistance. Students who are eligible for free or reduced-cost lunches (under the National School Lunch Act) qualify for fee reductions for each exam they take. If you need assistance but are not eligible for free or reduced-cost lunches, contact your guidance counselor to see if additional support is available. The Late Fee for missing the registration deadline is per Registration, not per Exam. Registrations submitted more than three weeks late will require a $50 late fee. Registration is closed four weeks after the registration deadline.
