Congratulations to Jourdan Davis!   Her entry entitled “Random Acts of Kindness” was selected to compete at the Maryland State PTA Reflections level!  The first place winners at the State level will compete at the National PTA level.  Good luck at the State competition!

About 25 Howard County PTAs sponsored approximately 200 students (about 5 high schools, 7 middle schools, and 13 elementary schools), who submtted 370 entries (dance, film/video, literature, music, visual arts, & photography) in this year’s Reflections Program, with the theme "I can make a difference by…."  Jourdan Davis and 12th grader Sahhara Sharpe each received a certificate at the January Howard County PTA level and $25.00 from the OMHS PTSA.  Congratulations!

It’s not too early for students to start using their imagination to write a story or poem, take a photograph, create a visual art, write music, or make a film or video that relates to next year's theme, "Wow!" Official paperwork will be available in October 2008 in the OMHS Media Center and via OMHS url.  Look forward to your entries!
