• The Media Center will be closed after school today. It will re-open Tuesday morning.
  
  
• Seniors wanting their mid year grade report to go to colleges will need to complete the Mid Year Reports for Colleges form and submit it to Mrs. Buffington today. Reports will be mailed by February 10th. These forms can be found in your English classes and in the Counseling Center.
  
  
• WANTED.... Independent thinking students to participate in a research project based on the psychology of attraction. If you are interested, stop by Room 402 for more information.
  
  
• Attention NHS members: Our monthly meeting is this Wednesday, February 8 at 7:30pm in the Media Center. Can't make it? Be sure to see Ms. T or Ms. Joseph BEFORE the meeting.
  
  
• Do you have any old jeans? Donate your unwanted jeans and help the homeless from now until February 12th! Teens for Jeans Donation boxes are located in Coach Shea's room.
  
  
• Seniors! Class Spirit Wear forms and payments are due February 8th to Ms. Bowman or Mrs. Tourtlotte. For forms and more information please see Ms. Bowman.
  
  
• Want to get something for your special someone? Purchase a Cupcake from Cupid for $2 to support the Class of 2014's prom planning efforts. Pre-orders will be taken all this week. Cupcakes will be delivered on Valentine's Day.
  
  
• Alpha Achievers will be celebrating their 15th anniversary February 16, 2012! So to celebrate the organization will be hosting a banquet that evening. Tickets are on sale now for $15. Come out and celebrate with us! See Mr. James in Room 402 for more information!
  
  
• Paper work for Tennis try-outs is due February 24, 2012 after school in the main gymnasium.
  
  
• Attention Seniors: Please come to the Counseling Center to check out the Senior Board. Let us know where you have been accepted and where you decide to go.
  
  
• The answer to Friday's African American History trivia question was Axum. Now for today: He was a botanist, an agricultural chemist, and revitalized the agricultural industry in the South between 1900 and 1930. As a professor at the Tuskegee Institute, he encouraged farmers to grow new crops to replenish the soil, including peanuts from which he developed more than 300 products.
  
  
• It is going to be a mild day today. Currently the temperature is 29 degrees and the high for today will be around 51 degrees.
  
  
• Today for lunch we are having spaghetti tacos, spaghetti with meat sauce, tuna salad sandwiches, and pizza.
