Middle School GT Symphonic Band Middle School Honors Band AUDITION REQUIREMENTS 2008-2009 All Audition Performance Requirements are drawn from those utilized for All-State Band auditions.
In addition to the first sixteen measures of the Required Selection(s) listed below, each student will asked to perform the Chromatic Scale and one major scale selected from the following keys: C, G, D, A, E, F, Bb, Eb, Ab. The scales should be played evenly and smoothly in a 16th note pattern, A reminder: students need only prepare the first sixteen (16) measures of each selection for the Howard County Gifted and Talented Symphonic Band Audition. The selections will need to be prepared in their entirety for the Maryland Junior All State Band. |
