The Howard County Middle School Gifted and Talented Symphonic Band is a countywide program for middle school band students who excel in their school programs. Children are nominated to audition by their respective band directors based on their demonstration of excellent music skills and cooperation in the school band program. The GT Band is conducted by notable professional conductors and pedagogues. The 2007 Howard County will be conducted by Dr. Harlan Parker. The ensemble will be administered and prepared under the auspices of Mr. Jeffry Brodie and Ms. Shelly Williams.
