A Welcome Message from Our Principal...

Welcome to Lisbon Elementary School. Our school is nestled off Frederick Road in Lisbon, Maryland. For many years, students have been taught that learning lasts a lifetime. Our focus is on teaching and learning. The main emphasis is on developing the whole child. We at Lisbon Elementary School strive to provide our students with the best possible education. Our environment at Lisbon is warm, friendly and conducive to learning. We share in the wonderful growth and development of every child, along with their family. Our P.T.A. is very active and supportive of our school. We have an excellent parent volunteer program, and a P.T.A. population that is supportive of the goal of Lisbon Elementary:

Lisbon Elementary has had a long history of staff, students and community partners all working together to achieve excellence; beginning in the early 1840's when the original school first opened its doors. Lisbon Elementary is committed to ensuring that every student becomes a lifelong learner and is prepared to make a positive contribution to society. We are fortunate to have a very active PTA who work together to foster a safe, engaging atmosphere where students are encouraged to grow academically, socially and emotionally. Our belief in every child achieving is best summed up by this quote:
