5th Grade Language Arts

The language arts incorporate the processes of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In grade five, students read to learn with an emphasis on comprehension. This occurs during language arts and in the content areas of health, math, social studies, and science. When your child receives work in their Friday Folder for reading, writing, grammar, or spelling, please go over it with him or her. If they have received a grade below a 70%, our policy is that the student can make the corrections and turn it in on Monday for a C.
