Hollifield Station PTA News
2007-2008
-Take a look at HSES PTA - Did you know that over 60% of this year's PTA Officers and Committee Chairpersons are completely new to their PTA role or to PTA in general? I am amazed and inspired by the enthusiasm and drive these new people bring to their PTA work! I am equally appreciative of the continued support of returning PTA volunteers. We have tried hard to encourage all parents to become involved in PTA. Fortunately, this has resulted in an increasingly diverse group of PTA volunteers. We now have a couple of Husband and Wife teams who share the Committee Chair responsibilities. We now have a Korean Liaison position. There is room for you, too. Please attend a meeting, call a PTA officer or Chairperson and ask questions – we value your input. PTA's mission remains:
One of PTA's objectives is: to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of childrenand youth. This objective is related to the ideals behind the Howard County Civility policy of “modeling thoughtful, considerate behavior for our children” and is a strong focus of this PTA's efforts.
