First Grade Supply List

June, 2007

Dear Parents:

In order to provide our parents with sufficient time to locate and purchase needed supplies, we are sending home next year’s supply list in June. Please note that the contents of the supply lists may vary by grade level. Listed below are supplies with which we request all first grade children start the 2007-08 school year. All of your child’s supplies should be labeled with his/her name. Student lunches and lunch boxes should be clearly labeled.

Please note that only one check made payable to Hollifield Station Elementary School should be sent in for these materials.

First Grade Supply List

24* No. 2 sharpened pencils (Please do not send mechanical lead pencils.)

12* glue sticks (large) (no liquid glue please)

1 eraser (large)

1 school box (plastic preferred, no larger than 8” x 5”)

4 sturdy folders with bottom pockets only with a 3-hole punch

1* pair of scissors (not the all-plastic kind)

1 large box of tissues (to be shared throughout the year)

3 black and white composition books (marble cover)

2* box of crayons (set of 24)

1 backpack or bookbag

3 boxes of Ziplock baggies (1 gallon and 2 qt. or sandwich size)

1 box of waterproof markers

1 box of colored pencils

2 alcohol based hand-gel sanitizer (as per the HCPSS Pandemic Flu Planning Committee)

In addition to the above, please send $16.00 for materials that will be ordered and supplied by the school. This money will be used to purchase a homework binder, parent communication folder, Scholastic News, and writing journal. Please make checks payable to Hollifield Station Elementary School.

* These supplies will need to be replaced throughout the school year.
