Salaries:
   Substitute Teachers $75.00 per day $75.00 + $5.73 FICA
   Teachers -  Workshop Wages $20.00 per hour $20.00 + $1.53 FICA
   Teachers -  Curriculum Development $25.00 per hour $25.00 + $1.91 FICA
   Teachers - As Instructors $30.00 per hour $30.00 + $2.30 FICA
NOTE:  HCPSS employees cannot be paid as consultants
Employee Benefit Rates (full-time employees):
   Fringe Benefits - Health Insurance (average cost for   active employee) $5,933 Call Benefits Office for actual costs and for costs for part-time employees
   Fringe Benefits - Pension Plan 9.35% of salary Call Benefits Office for costs for part-time employees
   Fringe Benefits - FICA .0765 of salary Must be included for all employees
Transportation - Bus Rental Estimate $150/day Actual cost depends on hours used, distance traveled, etc.

Charges assessed by the Department of Education for use of Howard County Public School facilities have been computed to reflect current operating costs.  These charges are applicable to all facilities with the exception  of the James Rouse Theater located within Wilde Lake High School.
