Ø     ESRB

The ESRB stands for the Electronic Software Rating Board.

They rate games and software with several different ratings.  These ratings include E, T, M, AO, and EC. Click here for more.

E = Everyone

T = Teen

M = Mature

AO = Adults only

EC = Early childhood

 

Ø    MPAA

The MPAA stands for the Motion Picture Association of America.  They rate movies and films of all kinds and lengths.  These ratings include G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17. Click here for more.

G = General audiences

PG = Parental guidance suggested

PG-13 = Parents strongly cautioned

R = Restricted

NC-17 = No children under 17 permitted

Ø    FCC

The FCC stands for the Federal Communications Commission.  They rate and organize TV programs so people who are watching the programs know what kind of content is in it.  Their ratings include TVY, TVY7, TVG, TVPG, TV14, and TVM.  Click here for more.

TVY = Youth

TVY7 = Youth over 7

TVG = General Audiences

TVPG = Parental guidance suggested

TV14 = People over 14 permitted

TVM = Mature
