Students usually get their homework done early and watch TV or watch TV and then do their homework on the computer. The reoccurring theme is that these students are looking at screens while doing homework and watching TV. Too much viewing time of screens can make you sleepy and/or damage your sleeping hours. It can also effect work in school or any other place. It is recommended that screens be shut off 30 minutes before bedtime. The best time to view screens is early before school.
Violence in School
In Littleton, Colorado, at Columbine High School, a shooting occurred on April 20, 1999, which caused a chain reaction of shootings around the country. This shooting was believed to be motivated by violent video games. After this incident, 6 shootings took place at schools in 18 months. The American public was horrorstruck and they thought no place was safe.
