Teachers at EMMS are making a concerted effort to incorporate Reading and Writing across all disciplines.

The in-house Staff Development Cadre at EMMS consists of several members of the school staff:

The SDC plans and facilitates all faculty meetings, plans in-school Staff Development Days, and holds specialized workshops and in-services for staff throughout the year. Workshops/in-services have included various topics such as compacting and differentiating curriculum, reading strategies that can be used in any content area, child behavior, information access and evaluation, and integrating technology into instruction.
