Vision Statement
Family and Consumer Sciences prepares students to live effectively as individuals, as family members, and as public citizens who are ready to be a positive force within their communities.
Middle school students will learn to:
- Manage personal and family finances to promote financial literacy and economic self-sufficiency
- Prepare and eat a well balanced and nutritional diet to promote lifelong health and wellness
- Identify and understand the continuing concerns of families to promote stronger families and communities
High School students can:
- Explore options and prepare for professional careers in Child Development, Teaching, the Culinary Sciences, and Hotel and Restaurant Management
