Computer Networking

The Computer Networking Academy is designed for students that have an interest in expanding their understanding and skills regarding how computer networks are created and maintained. Students will gain the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, and operate practical networks from simple home or small office to more complex enterprise models using the latest Cisco networking curriculum. Students learn the technical skills and soft skills needed to succeed in entry-level networking professions.
Computer Programming

The Computer Programming Academy will expose students to the fundamentals of computer science while teaching the principles necessary to incorporate solutions in an object-oriented methodology. The coursework will expose students to a variety of fundamental design requirements associated with solving complex problems that are algorithmically based. This course of study focuses on a hands-on approach and has many layers of participation associated with local, state, national and international computer programming competitions and other opportunities with real-world connections. Students who participate in this academy will have the opportunity to study in an advanced computer science program which is at a level that correlates to a first and second semester college level curricula thus making the student eligible to take the Advanced Placement Computer Science A exam.
PC Systems

The PC Systems Academy is designed for students who have an interest in expanding their knowledge and skills related to how PC hardware and PC operating systems work from the inside out. The coursework consists of two classes - PC Software/Hardware and Networking Essentials.
