Contest
How it is done:
Students use a program called Interactive C to program the robot to compete in the competition. The programs can be uploaded straight from the computer to the robot. They are given a robotics kit with a rumba base and various other robotics parts that allows for many different robot designs.
This Year:
Students have to build a robot to speed through a course in 2 minutes and score as many points as possible by moving around and knocking down cups and balls. The cups represent satellites and the balls represent plants and crew members.
