All the books have moving pictures and are read aloud by professional actors, complete with music, sound effects, and voices. Silly Books is designed for children ages 3-13 www.bookadventure.com - A free reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Children can create their own book lists from more than 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes. www.starfall.com - A learn-to-read website for PreK-2 students. Sections are divided by reading level, and animated stories help young readers with their phonics. www.childrenslibrary.org - The International Children's Digital Library is a research project to create a digital library of outstanding children's books from all over the world. The library has more than 1,500 books in nearly 40 languages for children ages 3-13. www.storyplace.org - Created by the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County in North Carolina, this interactive site includes read-along stories and print-out activities for preschool and elementary school students. www.google.com/literacy - This literacy project is a resource for teachers, literacy organizations, and anyone interested in reading and education, created in collaboration with LitCam, Google, and UNESCO's Institute for Lifelong Learning.
